Markie Post was born in the US and is well-known as an actress. She has played in the roles of Christine Sullivan the public defender in NBCs Night Court, Terri Michaels as the bail bondwoman Terri in ABCs The Fall Guy drama series and Georgie Anne Lahti Hartman the sitcom Hearts Afire by CBS. Markie has appeared as an actress on numerous games shows. Daughter of poet Marylee Post and scientist Richard F. Post she was raised with two other brothers within Walnut Creek. She studied at Las Lomas High School where she played cheerleading. She attended Pomona College for a short period of time, and later graduated at Lewis & Clark College, Oregon. Post was previously married to Stephen Knox. From 1982, she's been married to writer/actor Michael A. Ross with whom she has two daughters. Post's character as a wife as well as mother is appreciated by a variety of Hollywood celebrities. Some of her early credits include a pilot of the 1981 Barnaby Jones, Simon & Simon: Details at Eleven, which aired in season one episode two of The Greatest American Hero and episodes of The A-Team. In 1983 she portrayed various characters in The Only Church in Town and Hot Styles in 1984. She was a regular in The Fall Guy, an ABC action-drama The Fall Guy after appearing in the science-fiction series Buck Rogers during the Twenty-First Century and as Diane Chambers the best friend of Diane Chambers in the sitcom Cheers.
