While I had one baby at my side and other children within the cradle was working 12 hour shifts grinding floors and cutting off wallpaper. Ha! The house was starting to look good, but there were a few things left. For this project I was ready to invest a significant amount of money and time looking for my dream house. To keep my budget sound, I travelled with my three boys in search for bargains in estate sales. Our weekly routine consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through garage and estate sales buying a mixture of antique and brand new furniture as well as spending the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. There were numerous pieces that I did not know what to do and I outgrew my space. Over 1000 people visited my house in one weekend, to shop for everything that was on the ground. My company Growing Days began here. The business wasn't just expanding, but so was our sweet family as well. Finding the balance was important to me. I wanted to be a mom as well as a business owner who was successful. Growing Days fit perfectly. The year was 2013, and my sweet daughter Nora came along our 4th baby. I adored where my business was going, but I wanted some time off. I got away from furniture that was vintage to enjoy some quality time with my kids. It was exactly what I needed at that moment. After several minutes. The people who called me were asking for help with the interior decoration and renovations. These were mostly customers who visited my home to purchase furniture. It didn't seem long until I was managing a full-scale house renovation business. It began with taking clients on one with a speed I was comfortable with. It is likely that I'd have laughed had someone had told me the business was going to be the premise of an upcoming TV show on DIY Network. Indeed, I am laughing a little when I remember the story.
