April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. In seventh grade she began playing guitar and piano lessons which ignited her passion for music writing. When April was 12 She composed her debut single called Different. At 14 old, she dedicated the majority of her time making song concepts and perfecting her music. After that, she started taking trips to write with father in NY and LA. April began including other topics in Take My Hand for those of her peers who struggled with disabilities, peer pressure or suicide. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle influencer, as well as having partnerships with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia and YSL, has cultivated an impressive fan base. She was not born with a left hand, and that is why she's who she is. But that's far from the whole story. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not cover up her disability, but it does not concentrate solely on the issue. What is the message? The message? That we are all multifaceted, and that our identity and physical selves are not all that they seem. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart in a video interview "I am not convinced that my physical appearance will define my character. I don't intend to be an influencer on disability, because I've many more things to contribute." This doesn't influence my day-to-day activities. I carry on my business as usual and have come up with my own methods to adjust. The same is true for me, and I believe it should be discussed. Lockhart encourages us to keep striving to be self-accepting. Yet, she confesses having moments of feeling uneasy about her appearance as well as wearing clothes with arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she likes. and she shares pictures on social media. It's all a process is the most important thing. I'm not certain that it will be an end of self-love. It's true for all regardless of their level of insecurity. It's important to be around those who are able to see the person you are.
