Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August, 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Known for playing naive charming characters. Adams was born and lived in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest child of seven. Her father was in U.S. service in Italy. In the mid-1990s, she began professional dancing and performed at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Following her move to Minnesota, she starred in a mock-documentary film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) concerning beauty pageant contests. She moved to Los Angeles after making her debut in the screen with an innocent, but funny contestant. She was married to actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and she was the mom of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's career in film began in the mid- 1940s, after she was hired by MGM. The actress was found by Norma Shearer. She starred as Norma in several popular films over time, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho which was released in 1960 as well as Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film that was released in the year 1954.
